The constant quest to offer convenience and comfort to thousands of customers who visit its stores every day led Carrefour to launch innovative real estate projects. Through Carrefour Property - responsible for the maintenance and expansion of the group's real estate assets - the company will build multipurpose units. The core idea is to add even more value to buildings owned by Carrefour at strategic locations, where it already operates the chain's brands, offering different services in one place.
One of the projects announced was Cosmopolitano Shopping - a multipurpose complex of about 105,000 square meters in the district of Cambuci, in São Paulo. Another initiative will be the development of a project in Marginal Pinheiros, where the first Carrefour hypermarket in Brazil was opened, in 1975. The complete refurbishment of the building that currently houses the hypermarket on Pamplona Street in Jardim Paulista, São Paulo, will also be announced, with the opening of the Jardim Pamplona mall.
