Fibria's aptitude for dialogue and willingness to create solutions with partners and society characterize the event called Encontro Fibria de Sustentabilidade (Fibria Sustainability Meeting), launched in 2016 to promote the debate around key issues for the company, the future of the forestry sector, and society.

In 2016, we conducted two editions, with the participation of 98 guests in total - representatives from academia, third sector, NGOs, investors, farmers, class entities, press, suppliers, clients, and companies of other sectors.

During the panels of the first meeting, in February, Fibria's panelists and representatives of strategic audiences discussed about "Are planted forests a part of the solutions for climate challenges?" and "Sustainability in the forestry value chain." The second debate, in November, covered the aspects "Land Conflicts" and "Valuation of Ecosystem Services."

Workshop in Três Lagoas

In early 2016, the Três Lagoas, Mato Grosso do Sul, unit held the first workshop on "Sustainability in the pulp and planted forests sector." We presented to the regional media our work concept on sustainability in the Forestry and Industrial areas, and detailed the strategy for social actions in Mato Grosso do Sul. Fibria intends to replicate the relationship model in its other units.
