Materiality

Fibria carried out a materiality refresh in 2016. The work involved the analysis of company documents, sector studies and benchmarking of Fibria's partners and clients. Interviews were also conducted with the company's senior management and with various groups of stakeholders (academia, specialists, communities, NGOs, clients, investors). A panel was held with experts outside the company, in addition to an online survey with the company's internal and external stakeholders. The connection between the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the materiality and the impacts on the value chain were also evaluated.
