The Report

Reporting Process

The 2016 Fibria Celulose S.A. Report contains the main practices and results of the company throughout the year. The strategic vision is also presented for readers to understand how the company prepares for the future and to become part of the solution for sustainability challenges.

To integrate financial and social and environmental information, the report follows the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) - G4 Comprehensive (go to the GRI Content Index) - and the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC).

In the same way that we manage our forward thinking business, our report is constantly evolving. In this edition, we decided to adopt the digital format with the launch of this portal, in order to facilitate reading and access to the company's information via the Internet, the media outlet with the largest global audience today.

In addition to the digital edition, which allows for interactive browsing of the most relevant information for our stakeholders, Fibria's reporting process includes:

  • Indicator Center, also accessible through this portal. This area contains a large number of indicators that show the company's economic, social, and environmental performance.

  • Abridged version, which provides a summary of the main contents of the online Report.

  • Printed infographics, one for the general audience and another for our clients, were created from the opening illustration of the portal.

  • Video showing the impacts, advances, and complexity of a major endeavor such as the Horizonte 2 Project.

The process to develop the Report also considers the opinions of our audiences about the document, such as auditors, external readers, and employees. An Editorial Committee, composed of representatives from various areas of the company, is responsible for defining the aspects covered in the report and for constant improvement of the work. One of main objectives of this group in preparing the 2016 Report was to provide more balance between the positive and negative aspects of the subjects covered, as well as greater conciseness to the document in all its versions.

More information about the company can also be seen on our corporate website (www.fibria.com.br) and on our Investor Relations website (www.fibria.com.br/ri).

The contents and boundaries of this document were assessed by Bureau Veritas Certification, a company contracted by Fibria to conduct an independent assurance of the Report.
