Report 2013

We were given new accolades in 2013, which translated into important awards from renowned industry organizations and media outlets as testament to our efforts to improve our management and client service practices. The following are the main accolades we received.

Reputation

We were ranked second in Carta Capital's The Most Admired Companies award in the retirement industry category. Over 1,800 executives from 600 companies and 47 different industries responded to this poll, which produces corporate rankings by segment. These results are based on the scores of each company. Companies were rated according to 12 key factors.

For the eleventh year in a row, we were the favorite brand in the Brazilian retirement segment according to the Marcas de Quem Decide survey, which ranks the most important brands of Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil.

We were given the Segurador Brasil Award by Brasil Notícias Editora e Comunicação Empresarial in the Industry Highlight in Retirement.

Yield

The special retirement issue of Você S/A from August 2013 placed 15 of our PGBL and VGBL funds in the Top 100 list. This poll was prepared by the Center for Financial Studies of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV-SP).

In November 2013, our PGBL and VGBL funds appeared in a different special retirement issue of Você S/A with five and four stars. This poll was prepared by the Center for Financial Studies of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV-SP).

We were also rated four and five stars by ValorInveste in a Standard & Poor survey from November 2013.

Services

We received the Civil Engineering Highlights award in the Preferential / Support Services – Retirement category. In its eleventh edition, this award is an initiative of the Minas Gerais Civil Engineering Institute and aims to integrate and improvement the professional skills of its affiliates. To establish a list of winners, 8,000 members were heard.

Brasilprev was granted the Consumidor Moderno Excellence in Customer Service award in the Retirement and Capitalization category for the eight year. This awards ceremony, in its fourteenth edition, was created by Consumidor Moderno magazine with the support of the GFK Institute to acknowledge companies to seek excellence in the services they deliver and have the best customer service strategy.

Management

We received the 2013 Cobertura Performance Award for Best Economic and Financial Performance – Retirement and VGBL Portfolio in recognition of our outstanding performance in the industry, where we have been operating for 20 years. Our history, equity profitability (net income / equity), growth during the period (premium variation), technical retirement criteria, and market share evolution (rank) were among the analyzed items.

We were ranked fourth in the Insurance and Retirement rankings of IstoÉ Dinheiro's Melhores da Dinheiro award. We placed fifth in Financial Sustainability, fifth in Human Resources, fifth in Social Responsibility, and third in Corporate Governance.

We made it to the Top 300 HR Providers in 2013 list, which was prepared by Gestão e RH, because of the services we provided in the Benefits – Retirement Plans segment.

Products

We received the Insurance Market Award – Troféu Gaivota de Ouro in the Excellence in Corporate Retirement with Outstanding and Groundbreaking Products and Solutions category. This awards ceremony, which is held every year by Seguro Total magazine, is oriented towards the best companies in the industry.
